This is actually from a couple of weeks ago - but I ran across it and wanted to post because I think it's just so gorgeous. We have been using the "Flavor King" Pluots all month - they are just unbelievable right now!!!
Julie's risotto balls were amazing paired with the heirloom tomato cream sauce. Just the roasted tomatoes, a splash of cream and salt and pepper - heaven!
The deep fried tuna roll was super delicious, especially with the spicy sauce. I taught Matt my special trick for making green onion curly-Qs to put on top.
Crab cakes are always a hit , and for me it's all about the sauce. And if one sauce is good - then three is better! I think the sweet pickle remoulade was my fave.
Babs did a tremendous job with the dessert, it was awesome=)
Whew, crazy week! I'm finally getting around to posting pics from cork & fork on Wednesday. We got off to a slow start but things livened up a bit after 7:30. I think that weird, tropical weather kept everybody home until dark. We only have 4 weeks left before Cork & Fork is over for the summer so don't miss out if you haven't been=)
Planning for the Sonoma trip in September has kicked into high gear! It's so exciting that the time has almost come. I can't wait!! I am hoping to blog during our trip so that I can keep everyone updated on our travels & tastings.
This week Julie & I have kids camp - the "little chef's in training" week. The little ones are the most fun, so I'm looking forward to it. I'm also hard at work planning the September schedule - and I'm totally excited about some of the new things we have planned for this upcoming season.
Hope everyone had a wonderful, relaxing weekend=)
