
Since Ice Cream has recently become a staple of my diet, I have been drooling over the cover of this month's Gourmet magazine every time I walk by it on my coffee table. Lemon & Blueberry Swirl ice cream sandwiches - HELLO!!
Also there is an excellent collection of frozen treats and ice cream recipes on page 81 - most notably the Semi Freddo, which Julie has made me a disciple of - and the Salt Caramel Ice Cream, which is eerily similar to one that we do frequently ( are there spies in our midst??).
In the past year I have sort of broken away from Gourmet for the greener pastures of Bon Apetit and my favorite, Food & Wine magazine. Lately I have noticed that they have stepped up their game a little bit - with the focus being back on great recipes. I think in this economy with the circulation being down they may have realized what their bread and butter really is. Also the new cover format is simply stunning, I love love macro lens photography of food.
Oh - speaking of things I can't live without, Jeannette has introduced our new flavor of cupcake this month - COCONUT!!! Yeah, it's pretty ridiculous as you can imagine =)
